By using the Vanilla Genome Hub website ("Service"), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Service").

1. DEFINITIONS
“Data”– Genome sequences related to one or several organisms that can be downloaded of explored through the website.
“Hub”– also referred to as a Vanilla Genome Hub website https://vanilla-genome-hub.cirad.fr, means the online mechanism to enable end users to access and use the Data.
“We” – means the team in charge of the development and maintenance of the Hub. The Hub is developed by the Cirad and supported by the South Green Bioinformatics platform.
“You”- means a person exercising rights under the Terms of Service with respect to the Hub.
“Personal data” means all personal information of an end user including name, emails and other personal data related to the use of Genome Hub Services (IP, timestamps, location, etc.).
2. ONLINE SERVICES
You use the Service at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We will make all reasonable effort to maintain continuity of the Service and provide adequate warning of any changes or discontinuities. However, we accepts no responsibility for the consequences of any temporary or permanent discontinuity in service.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, post, broadcast, transmit, or adapt, in full or in substantial part, the Content of the Hub, in any way that would unreasonably prejudice the legitimate interests or compete with the Hub.
You understand that the technical processing and transmission of the Service may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices.
Help desk support for Genome Hub services is free, available in English and French, via the contact us page and via email. We will strive to answer any relevant query made to its support team, but we have no obligation to provide any support for its Service.
We do not accept responsibility for the consequences of any breach of the confidentiality of Hub by third parties.
You agree that these Terms of Service and Your use of the Service are governed under French law.
3. DATA SERVICES
The online data services and databases of Hub are generated in part from data contributed by the community who remain the data owners for which due credit is provided.
There are no additional restrictions on the use or redistribution of the data available via its online services other than those provided by the original data owners.
Although quality checked are performed, we does not guarantee the accuracy of any provided data, generated database or online service nor the suitability of databases, software and online services for any purpose.
If you want to provide Data to the Hub, please do not hesitate to contact us.
4. PRIVACY STATEMENT
The service is complaint with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By using the Hub, you agree to having your personal data be processed by the Hub, as described below:
Your personal data is stored at servers of CIRAD servers based in Montpellier, France. All common security protocols are followed, and only the minimum amount of information is stored.
By accessing the service, you also agree that your personal data is collected by Google Analytics. Your personal data can be used to monitor user traffic on the Hub and will be limited to the number of visits and country of origin.
We will not use your personal information for marketing purposes, nor will your personal data be shared with outside partners for marketing purposes.
